The opening ceremony of the 7th Chairman's Cup 2082, organised by Harinas Rural Municipality, Syangja, was held today, on 3rd Jestha. The ceremony began with a grand welcome for the chief guest and other guests, accompanied by a cultural procession of all the Newar communities of Harinas Rural Municipality and the Naumati Baja of the Magar community from Ward No. 7. The Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Honourable Surendra Pandey, officially inaugurated this Cup, which includes ward-level men's, women's, veterans' volleyball, and badminton competitions.

The chief guest of the programme was the Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Honourable Surendra Pandey. The event was also graced by the presence of former Gandaki Province Education Minister and Provincial Minister Mekhlal Shrestha, all founding ministers of Gandaki Province, the chairpersons of all municipalities and rural municipalities of Syangja District, all ward chairpersons of Harinas Rural Municipality, the Chief of Police of Syangja District, the Police Inspector of Chisapani Area Police Office, the Chief District Officer of Syangja District, and other distinguished guests.

The 7th Chairman's Cup 2082 is being organised by the Sports Development Committee of Harinas Rural Municipality in coordination with the rural municipality. The competition will continue until 6th Jestha. It includes men's, women's, and veterans' volleyball, as well as badminton competitions, with the participation of ward-level players.
Team of Experienced Referees
The judging panel was formed under the coordination of international referee Tahal Singh Thapa AVC in this competition. Rudra Bahadur Gurung (Kavita), who has experience at the national level, participated as the national referee.
As referees, provincial referees Suresh Ale, Bimal Jung Chhetri, Ashok Thapa, Teman Singh Thapa, and Kumar Gurung contributed to the decisions of various games. Their experience and decision-making ability ensured the credibility of the games.

- Ward No. 5 of Harinas defeated Ward No. 7 of Harinas, securing a victory.
- In the match between Ward No. 1 and Ward No. 2 of Harinas, Ward No. 1 won the match.
2. Veterans' Volleyball Competition:
- The match between Harinas Ward No. 6 and Ward No. 7 on the Veterans side ended in a 1-1 draw. The match was declared a draw due to time constraints.
