Originally from Ward No. 4 of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality, Adhikari has established herself as one of Nepal’s most celebrated artists. She visited the area to participate in the cultural program and was recognized for her remarkable contributions to the field of performing arts.
Ward Chairman Hari Bahadur Chhetri (Rajendra) highlighted that Adhikari, despite her young age, has achieved immense success in Nepal’s entertainment industry. He praised her as a fearless, talented, and dedicated artist, which made her deserving of the honor. He further stated, “Wherever she steps, Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality’s presence is felt. Samiksha has elevated not only our municipality but also the entire country’s artistic reputation. Artists are the pride of a nation, playing a vital role in representing it on both national and international stages. Unfortunately, Nepal has not fully recognized their contributions, forcing many talented artists to seek opportunities abroad.”
Despite the lack of recognition from the municipality and local government, Chhetri expressed pride in honoring her on behalf of the ward residents. He acknowledged that while this might be a small gesture, it was meant to send a strong message about the importance of recognizing local talent.
The cultural program featuring Samiksha Adhikari followed the volleyball tournament, despite continuous rainfall throughout the day. Ward Chairman Chhetri and Club President Shuk Bahadur Tamang shared that, despite the light rain, attendees thoroughly enjoyed the event.
